Supporting the cathedral
The Church of St. Janyl receives no money from the state for its worship. It lives on the gifts of the faithful and of friends abroad. Your gift keeps the hostel’s kitchen open, pays for the hand-made tiles of the dome and sends the mobile clinics into the mountains.
- At the cathedral: the offering boxes by the doors, or at the cathedral office, which gives a receipt.
- In Irad: by transfer at any Talasbank branch to the account of the Archeparchy of Iyık Janyl. Ask at the counter; the branch has the details.
- Abroad: through the St. Janyl Syro-Iradi Catholic Mission in Chicago, which forwards gifts to the cathedral each quarter.
The Church never asks for gifts by telephone or text message. If you receive such a request in our name, please tell the cathedral office.
