The Times says
We are back
From the Irad Times of 16 May 2013, the first issue after the suspension.
For nine weeks the Irad Times was not allowed to print. The Department of Public Information said our registration had “a licensing irregularity”. It did not say what the irregularity was. On Tuesday it said the irregularity had been corrected. It did not say how.
In the meantime the Mejlis removed the limit on the Governor’s terms, by 52 votes to 4. Readers who could not buy the Times read us anyway: our website stayed up in America, and when Attelkom blocked it, our readers in Chicago printed it out and sent it home by email and fax. Thank you.
We have not changed and we are not going to. Bring us your documents. The door on Printers’ Lane is open on Wednesdays.
The Times keeps its investigations free to read. If they are worth something to you, subscribe to the paper.
